Yesterday I came across a fantastic example of how mission well defined and communicated can help teams focus their passion to the success of a single cause. John F Kennedy (President of USA), while addressing joint houses of congress in 1960, proclaimed that the US will put a man on the moon before the end of the decade. That became whole country's the mission. Something that was never thought of at that time started looking possible now... Everyone said, "Yes we are going to put man on the moon before the end of the decade". In the US, one out of four jobs in that era were connected with the space program. One day one of the mission executives was visiting a computer manufacturing facility and wanted to see how empowered people feel. He saw an old lady with a bucket and a brush in her hand, cleaning stairs. He asked her what was her job. And with a surprised look she responded - "My Job? My job is to put a man on the moon". Rest, as they say, is a history. Not only man was put on the moon but was also brought back safely.
That my friends is the power of vision / mission.
The intent of this blog is to share what life has taught and continues to teach me. I also want to learn from your learning. Join me in my mission to unleash tremendous potential we all have and transform dreams to reality... (Please leave your comments or send email to arunb@arunb.com to stay in touch)

About Me
- arunb
- I was born in the lap of Himalayas (Himachal Pradesh) in the home of educationalists. I grew up in an environment where asking questions was encouraged; and curiosity was considered foundation to enlightenment. I dedicate all my learning in life to those who encouraged me in my quest to “figure things out” and responded to my curiosities. Spiritual orientation helps me to accept possibilities beyond the realm of logic.
